Safety First

Amateur Experimental Rocketry has inherent potential hazards, which can be reduced to an acceptably low level through the application of knowledge and common sense, also described as common natural understanding. Please employ your natural instinct to learn that which you do not know, and fortify it with the knowledge of conservative safety practices appropriate to the activities you are pursuing. However, it is up to you as the enthusiast, to educate yourself about what you are dealing with prior to engaging in any AM/EX activities. Many sites preach safety, and you are encouraged to read their message. Although similar in nature, they are authored to keep you safe. The safety data needed to practice Amateur Experimental Rocketry is available through search. In most circles, groups and/or activities, no excuse will be tolerated when safety has been compromised due to lack of knowledge. To recap, employing knowledge and common sense of any Amateur Experimental Rocketry activity are two key practices.

For safety…live, learn and be safe!
